On 2nd August, 2025, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modiji released the 20thinstalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme via live telecast from Varanasi, crediting ₹2,000 to the Aadhaar linked bank accounts of over 9.7 crore eligible farmers across the country. To create awareness about role of farmers and farmwomen in agriculture and allied fields, ICAR KVK North & Middle Andaman organised a live telecast of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Program at KVK, Nimbudera. The event was graced by Shri R. Madhavan, Upādhyakṣa of the North & Middle Andaman Zilla Parishad in presence of Dr. V. Damodaran (Sr. Scientist & Head) along with other Subject matter specialists, Govt. officials and farming communities of N&M Andaman. The program was organized under the overall guidance of Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar, Director of ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijayapuram. About 79 farmers and farmwomen from different villages of Basantipur, Hari Nagar, Swadesh Nagar and Amkunj participated in the event.
