PME Cell is involved in compilation and submission of various reports viz. Institute Annual Report, DARE/ICAR Report, 12 points reports, cabinet monthly report, newsletter, ARMS, replies to parliamentary question, SFC of the institute, annual plan of the institute etc. Besides, the cell is also conducting Institute Research Council meeting, PMEC meeting, Institute Germplasm Identification Committee meeting, Award screening committee meeting, Publication Review Committee meeting etc. The PME cell also maintains repository of RPFs/RPPs of the Institute funded projects along with the annual reports.
Study circle has been started under the Chairmanship of Director, ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram with a main objective to discuss various scientific issues such as discussion and refinement of publication of research articles, presentation of research papers in the conference/seminar, presentation of latest scientific research and development by the scientists.
To coordinate and synthesize the recommendations of QRT, RAC, IRC, Vision documents of institute and ICAR to recommend research priorities of the institutionfor shortlisting priority researchable problems across crop(s)/divisions/programmes,commodity/livestock etc. at institution level. (Priority setting).
Annual updating and presenting the report to the Director of the institution forassigning research projects.
To coordinate and arrange for annual monitoring of each on-going project andevaluation of completed projects through internal and external experts.
To coordinate and arrange of technology validation and/or impact assessment ofsuccessful technology claimed by scientist(s) through internal and external experts.
Regularly sensitizing and capacity building of research managers and scientiststhrough training programmes.
Maintaining database on all publications, technologies developed, IPRs,consultancies, projects undertaken in the past 10 years and on-going projects.
Preparation of reply of all parliamentary questions raised by Ministries.
