Technology License Agreementwas signed on 22nd April 2025 for the technology “DWEEP MAS-poultry feed”at Regional Station, ICAR-CIARI, Minicoy, Lakshadweep Islands between ICAR-Central Island Agriculture Research Institute (CIARI) and Shri.Ibrahim Manikfen, Job and Civil Contractors, Minicoy, Lakshadweep Islands.
Dweep MAS-poultry feed is a MASMIN based poultry feed.MASMIN is a processed (smoked and dried) tuna fish and available locally across Lakshadweep islands. It has been explored as an alternative to soya bean meal in the poultry feed. The technology has uniqueness in terms of70% crude protein, high digestibility and nutrient availability, five types of MAS-poultry Feed can be prepared (starter, grower, layer, broiler starter and finisher feed), it will reduce the poultry feed cost by 30% at Lakshadweep Islands and the technology will improve the self-sustainability of local poultry farm for the poultry feed.
