ICAR–Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (CIARI) has also obtained design registration for an innovative Artificial Vagina (AV) model developed for rabbit breeding applications. Constructed from locally available materials, this indigenous technology is designed to accurately simulate natural breeding conditions for efficient semen collection. The rabbit AV model offers a practical, cost-effective, and hygienic solution to improve reproductive efficiency and breeding management while encouraging indigenous technological advancement in rabbit production systems.
